İSTANBUL PROVINCE, FATİH DISTRICT, YEDİKULE-YENİKAPI 2nd STAGE (HACI HUSEYİN AGA, SANCAKTAR, HAYRETTİN, KASAP İLYAS NEIGHBORHOODS) REGENERATION CONCEPT PROJECT

The residential area, which is located within the boundaries of the project area, was protected along with the inhabitants of the region in line with the Conservation Implementary and Master Zoning Plan for the Historic Peninsula of Istanbul. The existing buildings have been improved, and new buildings designed with typologies and gabaries in accordance to the existing urban texture.

Within the scope of the urban regeneration project, the residential texture of the area has been preserved. In addition, new functions that stimulate the region and increase socio-cultural activities have been proposed. The Samatya Square and the new square proposed within the urban design project aims to create a dynamic event space for locals and visitors, as well.
