BAĞCILAR DISTRICT, GÖZTEPE NEIGHBOURHOOD DEVELOPMENT PLANS FOR RISKY AREA AND SURROUNDINGS

The 22-hectare area, declared a high-risk zone, required planning due to its composition of dilapidated and structurally unsound buildings that are vulnerable to potential earthquakes. In accordance with the master plan at a scale of 1:5,000 and the implementation plan at a scale of 1:1,000, the aim is to counteract unplanned urbanisation and to design an integrated urban space that complies with the regulations, taking into account variables such as sustainability, quality of life and accessibility.The planning work to be carried out includes the implementation studies aimed at eliminating the risks arising from the ground condition of the area and the unhealthy construction on it, revealing all kinds of dynamics that have potential in the area, creating a healthy and safe living space.
